MEF authorizes Monte dei Paschi Foundation’s participation in Banca Mps 5 billion euro capital increase

The Economy and Finance Ministry (MEF) today issued its authorization for the Foundation to take part in the planned capital increase of 5 billion euros, in the amount equivalent to a 2.5% stake in the capital stock of Banca Mps, at an expense of about €125 million, assuming that the increase is approved by the special shareholders’ assembly convened for 20-22 May.
