The Monte dei Paschi Foundation closed its 2012 fiscal year, its eighteen since the transfer of capital from the bank to the foundation, with a net operating loss of 193.7 million euros.

The Accademia Musicale Chigiana presents an extensive program of exclusive concerts for the Sienese summer 2013.
The season begins with the 70th edition of the Settimana Musicale Senese held in Siena in July, from 9 to 18, and then continues with the exhibition "Maestri chigiani in terra di Siena" (from July 13 to August 11) with concerts in Pienza, San Gimignano, Sovicille and Scansano.
